How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions varies depending on the size and depth of the tattoo or makeup. On average, clients for permanent brow removal require 2 – 4 sessions, and clients for black ink tattoo removal require 5 – 8 sessions for optimal results. Colored ink tattoos can be more complicated and take longer to remove.
Is the process painful?
Pain levels vary depending on the depth of the pigment, the fluence (energy level) used during treatment, and your personal pain tolerance. That said, brow pigment removal tends to be significantly less painful than traditional tattoo removal. Most clients describe the sensation as a quick snapping feeling or mild heat, and many are surprised by how tolerable it is—especially when compared to what they expected. Traditional tattoo removal tends to feel hotter and more painful, but most clients find it to be bearable as it is quick (a 1″x3″ tattoo, for example takes about 10 seconds per session). We also use cooling techniques to make the experience as comfortable as possible, and recommend using over the counter numbing before you come in. After the removal, it is normal to feel like the area is sunburned for 5-7 days
